UK
If you are employed by a
UK

business will operate National
Insurance by deducting Class 1 employee’s National Insurance from your pay.
National
Insurance (NI) number is a personal number used:
- to record a person's NI contributions and credited
contributions
- required when claiming social security

A NI number should only be
given to one person

check
is to ensure you need the NI number – ie make sure you haven’t already
got one.
o
If you do
need
an NI number we will ask you to complete a questionnaire don`t worry if
you
cannot communicate in English our literature is translated.
o
Once we
have
the questionnaire returned we can then start to complete the formal
paperwork
