A
Picking Operative can work within Warehouses, Production,
Manufacturing, Factories, Breweries, Small family run businesses as a
few examples. Hours of work are usually 37.5 to 40-hour week.
There are lots of warehousing and manufacturing companies
across the UK who need a
constant supply of this type of person so demand can be fierce at
times.

work activities

Achieving production
targets following the relevant training period

Achieving quality standards

Picking a variety of items
for distribution for customer orders

Operating machinery

They may work with raw
materials
Once
a Picking Operative gains experience, showing they have an aptitude for
the work, there may be opportunities to move into Supervisory and
Managerial roles.
