Work Conditions

In production work the working week is usually full or part time - days, evenings, nights or shifts, which may include weekends. Normally the work will be within a factory, on a production line or at a bench. The factory may  be large, well-lit and comfortably ventilated, but some areas of work can be dirty and noisy. Protective clothing such as masks and noise mufflers should be provided.

Production operatives usually work for manufacturing companies – in the UK there are many companies dealing in a wide range of fields. No particular qualifications are usually required however any previous experience is usually taken into account.

A supervisor or trainer from the company will normally teach the skills for the job, which can take from a few hours to a few weeks. Experienced Production Operatives can become Supervisors, go into Quality Control work, or train for skilled craft-level work.

We understand that part of the key to a successful business is having a workforce who have job satisfaction and are able and motivated to produce maximum work productivity at all times in an environment that is enjoyable, and for this reason we will spend time with our clients and candidates   discussing details to ensure we find the right person or right job for you.

Finding the ideal member of staff can often take a lot of time and money, which can result in lost productivity within the workplace, we can take that problem away from your operation.
